Qian Shan is situated in the northern part of the Kaohsiung Plain and serves as a crucial center for commercial and trade activities. It is known for its three treasures: honey, broad bean paste, and mutton. Visitors can also step onto the famous landmark Qian Shan Eye to admire the beautiful local views. Kaohsiung’s first skywalk, “Qian Shan Eye,” is built within the Xiaogangshan Park area. The main tower stands 40.5 meters tall and is connected to the walkway by 24 suspension cables. The walkway stretches 88 meters in length. From Qian Shan Eye, you can overlook Agongdian Reservoir, Greater and Lesser Qian Shan, and the Taiwan Strait, enjoying a vast panorama of the beautiful landscapes of greater Kaohsiung.

Qian Shan’s 228 Peace Memorial Park is the first park in Taiwan built to commemorate the 228 Incident. The park features a two-story-high Peace Pigeon Monument, sculpted from five pigeons, symbolizing the shared destiny of Taiwan’s five major ethnic groups and representing justice and peace.

Agongdian Reservoir boasts picturesque scenery reminiscent of a hidden paradise. The flat and well-maintained cycling path is lined with native and flowering trees and shrubs, creating a tree-lined boulevard. There are multiple observation decks and bike rental stations along the way, as well as connections to ten major scenic spots in the reservoir area, including the Misty Rainbow Bridge, Moonlit Fishing Waters, and Dragon Mouth Spring.

The Aviation Education Exhibition Hall is Asia’s only aircraft suspension display venue, featuring over 40 authentic military aircraft from China, the United States, and the Soviet Union. Each plane has weathered the trials of history, silently defending the homeland and protecting Taiwan. The exhibition hall offers an intimate glimpse into the heroic achievements of these aviation pioneers.
