As the frontal system moves through in the early morning bringing abundant moisture, areas north of central Taiwan experience brief showers, as do the eastern region and mountainous areas in the south. It is advisable to carry rain gear when going out. Rainfall is expected to ease in the latter half of the day, with the rainy areas shrinking to the windward side — northern Taoyuan and the eastern half.

The entire island experiences overcast, rainy and cool conditions under the influence of the northeastern monsoon.

Regarding temperatures, with the strengthening northeastern monsoon, the northern and northeastern regions see a drop, with daytime highs around 20 to 22 degrees Celsius, and nighttime lows around 17 to 18 degrees. Other regions have daytime highs of 25 to 31 degrees, but it will also turn cooler at night, with lows around 19 to 21 degrees.

An eastward-moving cloud and rain mass from southern China brings the likelihood of brief showers to the northern and eastern half regions.
