A dreamlike grand view at the level of a waterfall of clouds!

Dreamy iridescent light meets mountain mist and a cloud waterfall — beams of light shimmer through layers of haze, creating a dazzling spectacle of seven colors. Located on the Alishan Highway in Chiayi at Dingshihzuo, this million-dollar-level night view sparkles through the layers of mist, showcasing a luxurious scene of vibrant hues, so breathtaking that it can take your breath away every time you see it.

The sea of clouds and iridescent light that appear during seasonal transitions — the iridescent light is produced when lights refract through the clouds and mist, creating a translucent, rainbow-like brilliance, reminiscent of glass. Paired with the cloud waterfall and the Milky Way, looking down from the mountains gives the illusion of being in a heavenly paradise on Earth.

Chiayi is also a popular spot among many photography enthusiasts for capturing iridescent sea of clouds, including locations such as Dingshihzuo and Xidi, and the recently very popular Taiping Skywalk is also a great place to shoot a million-dollar night view. With high altitude in the Chiayi mountainous area and its proximity to the Alishan National Scenic Area, it is one of the representative regions of Taiwan’s stunning fairyland scenery.

In addition to enjoying the beauty of tea plantations, the network of trails around Shizhao at Dingshihzuo is also a must-visit hidden gem along the Alishan Highway. Five walking trails have been introduced: Mist Trail, Tea Trail, Cloud Trail, Sunset Glow Trail, and Cherry Blossom Trail, along with the existing connecting industrial roads. The entire route is about 5 kilometers long, and the hike takes approximately 2 hours.
