Taipei? Still not enough? Looking for the ultimate traveler

This summer, the Tourism Bureau highlights Taipei’s multifaceted charm by introducing five major themes and ten in-depth tour routes, including wellness, nostalgia, fashion, ecology, and cultural creativity, offering both domestic and international travel enthusiasts a deeper exploration of Taipei’s urban landscape. Starting August 20, a series of talks by travel experts will be held to share the wonders of Taipei. The event is also on the lookout for Taipei’s ultimate travelers. Those whose submissions are selected can take home either an iPad2 or a bicycle.

The ten featured Taipei tours include the Grass Mountain Eco-Time Tunnel and the Zen Culture Stroll in Beitou, architectural history that witnesses the rise and fall of Dadaocheng, as well as Taipei’s cultural and creative industries. The itineraries weave through the alleys of Kanglongqing and Treasure Hill International Art Village. Alongside these themed tours, from August 20 to September 17, five different themed travel lecture series will be held every Saturday afternoon at Taipei International Art Village and Taipei Exploration Hall. Life explorer Chu Shih-ying, renowned author Wang Wenhua, cultural historian Zhuang Yongming, travel expert Gong Toujian, and nature and humanities writer Liu Kexiang will share anecdotes and little-known secrets about traveling in Taipei with travel enthusiasts.

At the same time, this event is also searching for 20 “Taipei Ultimate Travelers.” Anyone who loves to travel and explore Taipei is welcome to submit their unforgettable “Taipei Travel Story” along with their recommendation for the most interesting and unique “Must-Visit Hidden Spot in Taipei.” Those who participate in the online essay activity “My Travel Story” have the chance to take home the hottest iPad2 or a bicycle. The top 20 selected “Taipei Ultimate Traveler” submissions will also receive free entry to the “Celebrities Take You Around Taipei” event.
