Kids who study music don’t go bad—if you can stay in a comfortable, music-themed space while traveling, letting melodious tunes lull you to sleep, it’s truly an unprecedented double treat. The Music Culture Park in Wufeng, Taichung, backed by the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra (NTSO), commissioned a hotel operator to create the country’s first music-themed inn. Each room is equipped with top-tier sound systems, and guests can also borrow over 20,000 audio and video discs from the NTSO’s collection for free, enjoying a premium musical experience right in their own rooms.

The Music World Inn benefits from the strong backing of the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, offering abundant music resources.

The Music Culture Park houses the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, administrative buildings, performance halls, and the “Music World Inn,” which was completed in September. The music inn originally served as staff dormitories for musicians and later became a hotel operated by Rui Shi Hotel Group under a cultural affairs commission OT (Operate-Transfer) project. Floors four and above house guest rooms, while the first and second floors feature the “Music Culture Museum,” where visitors can learn about various instruments, musicians, and enjoy audiovisual content. The museum boasts a rich collection and welcomes not only the general public but also numerous school and corporate groups for guided tours and experiences.

The first and second-floor “Music Culture Museum” offers instrument displays, interactive experiences, and audiovisual activities.

The inn’s guest room section has four floors with 64 rooms, each floor featuring a different theme: the fourth floor is the Symphony Hall, the fifth floor is the Chinese Classical Music Hall, the sixth floor is the Modern Pop Music Hall, and the seventh floor is the DISCO Dance Hall. Each floor has a lounge area with a 120-inch projection screen, sound system, LCD TV, massage chairs, and more, providing a comfortable space to chat or enjoy media.

Albums are available for sampling next to the elevators on each floor; the photo shows the Classical Music Hall on the fifth floor.

Besides the public areas, the guest rooms are also full of thoughtful details. Each room’s door number features a piano keyboard design. Inside, elements such as the wardrobe, vanity, and TV stand are integrated into a cello-shaped structure, with cute black musical note-shaped handles adding a delightful touch. The room’s standout hardware includes no fewer than three remote controls, allowing guests to immerse themselves in an auditory experience unlike any other during their stay.

Each guest room features a cello-inspired design, making it quite unique.
