The North Coast is a popular location for couples to take their wedding photos. To ride the wave of this once-in-a-century marriage boom, the North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration under the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications held the “Romantic Scenery, Sweet 100 – Wedding Portrait” photography competition. The award ceremony was held on November 15, selecting 30 winning entries from 897 submissions. The Gold Award went to Lin Boqi’s work “Flight 100,” which won a prize of NT$100,000, while Yang Junguo’s “Love Stronger Than Stone” and Weng Zhihong’s “Happiness Falls from the Sky” received the Silver and Bronze Awards respectively.

In addition to the top three prizes, 10 Merit Awards, 10 Honorable Mention Awards, and 7 Creative Awards were also given. All the winning works will be displayed at the exhibition area of the North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration Visitor Center, and are planned to be exhibited together with past award-winning works at Taoyuan International Airport, allowing international travelers to admire the happy moments of newlyweds and the beautiful landscapes of the North Coast.

To promote wedding photography on the North Coast, the North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration plans to increase the prize money for the wedding photography competition in the future, attracting more outstanding domestic and international entries to compete for the top awards, showcasing the rich coastal scenery of the North Coast—including wind-eroded rock formations, the green stone troughs of Laomei, and the unique rock formations of Yehliu—to the world.
