The COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage on, disrupting many travelers' original plans to go abroad for cherry blossom viewing. However, this has unexpectedly popularized some lesser-known domestic cherry blossom spots, which have become viral hotspots for photo opportunities online. Located in Neihu, the Bishan Rock Temple features stunning cherry blossom tunnels on both sides of its stairs, paired with traditional temple architecture, creating a very atmospheric setting.

The cherry blossom tunnel is located next to the Yuanguang Temple at Bishan Rock. Every year from February to March, the pink cherry blossoms begin to bloom. The flower color is a shade of pink, similar to Yoshino cherry blossoms. Along the 460-step stone staircase leading up to Bishan Rock, visitors can enjoy the view. Once inside the temple, you can also overlook the Taipei Basin with a vast panorama.

The blooming period of the pink cherry blossoms at Bishan Rock lasts until mid-to-late March, after which the eight-petaled cherry blossoms and azalea sea trails come into full bloom. Aside from cherry blossom viewing, Bishan Rock also offers other attractions such as the Baishi Suspension Bridge, Baishi Lake Leisure Agriculture Area, and the Kaizhang Shengwang Temple.
