Registration now open for "35+ Gorgeous Moms' Salt"

Taipei Expo Park is holding the “2012 Gorgeous Moms in Bloom Selection Event” to celebrate the upcoming May Mother’s Day. Registration is open from now until May 2. All women aged 35 or older who are mothers are welcome to participate. After an initial paper screening, 20 contestants will be selected on May 4 to compete in the online semi-finals, where netizens will vote publicly to choose the top 10 Gorgeous Moms to advance to the finals. The top three winners will receive prizes worth NT$100,000, NT$60,000, and NT$50,000 respectively (including a BH European century-brand massage chair, an anti-aging radio frequency treatment from a renowned clinic, Everlast Flowers by Fuqi Technology, a premium skincare set from Eelin Workshop, a high-end cookware set, and a one-year subscription to “Women’s Best”, among other great prizes). Other participants who come to the “Gorgeous Moms in Bloom Selection Event” at Taipei Expo Park on May 19 will each receive a beautifully packaged participation gift — a Lucky Beauty Bag.

Additionally, during the Mother’s Day weekend on May 12 from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm, a charity carnival will be held at the Long Corridor Plaza and Entrance Plaza of Taipei Expo Park’s Yuanshan area (Exit 1 of Yuanshan Station on the Taipei Metro Danshui Line). The event will feature performances by Kou Nai Xin, Nicky Wu, Lala Hsu, Georgia Yeh, Jocie Guo, Xiaoxia, and the Xiban African dance and song group. The public can exchange five receipts for one raffle ticket — the more you donate, the better your chances to win. Only receipts from March–April and May–June 2011 are valid. All collected receipts will be donated to the Taiwan Kenneth Foundation for Autism.

 

Raffle prizes include a SYM 125cc motorcycle, Dyson vacuum cleaner, ASUS tablet, Panasonic mirrorless camera, HTC smartphone, Giant bicycle, body scale... and other major prizes. In celebration of Bank Taiwan’s 66th anniversary, five-gram colorful gold bars will also be given to six lucky winners (simply match the last four digits of a raffle ticket to win). Starting from 10:00 am, the public is also encouraged to roll up their sleeves and donate blood — every 250cc unit donated will come with a beautiful gift, while supplies last.

On Mother’s Day, May 13 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, the Yuanshan Plaza at Taipei Expo Park will host an activity featuring the collection, display, and hands-on experience of parenting tools and nostalgic toys. Through this event design, male family members are invited to take part in household chores traditionally labeled as “women’s work,” aiming to break down stereotypical gender roles in domestic duties. Interested members of the public are welcome to join.
