Soak in hot springs even in summer? Absolutely. The Tourism Bureau has launched the “Taiwan Hot Spring Food Carnival” starting today. Visitors can upload their blissful hot spring photos to the website for a chance to enjoy an afternoon tea with “Sasha.” Meanwhile, last year’s widely acclaimed “Taiwan Hot Spring Food Discount Passport” offers — as long as you present the coupon on the back page of the passport — a second person free hot spring entry at any of Taiwan’s 41 hot spring hotels from now until August 31.

This summer, to boost the number of hot spring visitors, the Tourism Bureau has introduced the “Spring & Summer Beauty Hot Spring Promotion,” centering around an online campaign titled “Find the Happiest, Most Stylish, and Most ‘Kawaii’ Hot Spring Selfie.” From today (June 5) through August 15, participants can upload their hot spring photos to the official campaign website (www1.tvbs.com.tw/project/ad/spa) to join the voting. The top three winners and the public vote winner will not only receive free hot spring accommodation vouchers but also enjoy an afternoon tea with the campaign ambassador “Sasha,” plus get featured in travel magazines. All voters will also have three chances to win prizes including an iPad2 and accommodation vouchers, with one voter drawn each time to enjoy an afternoon tea with “Sasha.” Campaign website: www.taiwanhotspring.net.
