Artificial intelligence has evolved dramatically, and what seems like a scene from a movie will make a sensational appearance at the Angel Life Pavilion in the New Garden area of the Flower Expo Park. Four ultra-realistic robots developed by a team from National Taiwan University—some can play soccer, others can imitate human expressions, and some can even keep people company. These not only showcase Taiwan’s high-level achievements in intelligent robotics and automation research but also aim to interact with visitors on-site, sparking creativity.

Developed by the interdisciplinary team at the National Taiwan University’s Global Research Center for Intelligent Robotics and Automation, the HuroEvolution robot demonstrates how robots can cooperate on offense and defense, swiftly kicking and scoring goals; “Einstein’s Smile” combines biomimetic skin and servo motors to replicate a variety of vivid human expressions and can engage in face-to-face interactive dialogue with visitors; the “Intelligent Multifunctional Robot” not only serves as entertainment and companionship at home but can also instantly capture memorable moments through facial recognition and emotion detection; the “Biomimetic Eyeball” uses shape-memory alloys instead of eye muscles, working with computer detection to achieve movements like stretching and turning—a cutting-edge display of technology distinct from conventional motor-driven systems.

The “Intelligent Automation Product Special Exhibition—Smart Motion Pavilion,” jointly planned by the Angel Team, ITRI, and over 20 Taiwanese tech companies, uses fun animations, interactive games, and DIY workshops to help the public understand the future applications of technology and machinery in daily life, as well as the convenience and development brought by smart products. The exhibition runs until September 2.
