Want to experience Macau, where Eastern and Western history, culture, and architecture blend? Without buying a plane ticket or booking a hotel, the Macau Government Tourism Office will hold the “Macau Arts & Culture Festival” from October 5–10 at Dream Plaza on the 2F of Taipei’s Uni-President Hankyu Department Store. The event will bring iconic Macau World Heritage sites such as the Ruins of St. Paul’s, Senado Square, and Dom Pedro V Theatre to the venue. There will also be Portuguese folk dance performances, cultural films, limited free egg tarts, and free Macau travel information. Participants can also enter on-site games for a chance to win round-trip air tickets for two to Macau.

The “Macau Arts & Culture Festival” will not only showcase Macau’s famous Sino-Western style buildings at the event site, but visitors can also watch exciting cultural films in the realistic Dom Pedro V Theatre or enjoy carefully arranged performances in the outdoor square. These include Portuguese folk dance performances full of local flavor, traditional folk art shows like Dragon Palace Celebrations, and on the evening of October 6 at 19:30, a live jazz suite performance by a band that promises a romantic and relaxing night.

In addition to free freshly baked Portuguese egg tarts at specific times during the event, participants who complete the challenge games on-site will have a chance to win round-trip air tickets for two to Macau or creative gifts unique to Macau. Additionally, from October 4–28, those who present receipts showing cumulative purchases of over NT$2,000 at Uni-President Hankyu Department Store Taipei on the day can exchange them for one raffle ticket and enter the draw for a three-day, two-night Macau travel package.
