French cuisine has been recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity. In 2011, the first Food Festival (Fête de la Gastronomie) was held in France with over 6,000 events, allowing more people to discover and taste French food. This year’s second edition of the French Food Festival will kick off nationwide in France on September 22, spanning from Tours through the Centre-Val de Loire region to Avignon.

This year’s festival theme is “terroir” (le terroir). Cooking is part of people’s cultural life and represents local characteristics and traditions. This edition of the French Food Festival will host numerous activities throughout France, including balls, amateur cooking competitions, picnics, wine tastings, floating markets, food tasting events, cooking classes, and exhibitions. New York, Milan, Paris, and London fashion weeks are must-attend events for fashion enthusiasts every year. This year’s Paris Fashion Week will begin on September 27. Paris will reinforce and affirm its status as the capital of fashion through the new fashion week. Over the course of nearly 10 days, a series of fashion shows will be held in Paris, showcasing new trends.
