In response to the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, Taipei City’s Department of Commerce has partnered with businesses in the Cat’s Back Tea Culture District to jointly launch a one-month “Tea Cuisine Food Festival” promotion. From now until September 30, simply make a phone reservation in advance at any of the 12 designated shops in the district for a Mid-Autumn tea meal. Originally priced between NT$1,000 and NT$2,000 for a four-person set, the discounted price is only NT$1,000 — equivalent to up to a 50% discount. On average, each person can enjoy a variety of tea meal combinations for just NT$250.

This year, businesses in the district have also introduced, for the first time, a group package experience for groups of 10 or more, featuring “specialty tea meals, guided tours of scenic trails, and DIY experiences.” Sign up before the end of October to enjoy a special price of NT$5,990 per group of 10 people (originally NT$8,500). The guided tour routes include the Camphor Tree Trail, Tea Road Ancient Trail, Camphor Lake Trail, Zhinan Temple + Water Pipe Road, and Pot Hole Trail, with each route lasting approximately from 10:00 to 15:00. Additionally, this year’s event will also see district businesses collaborate to publish the “Cat’s Back Leisure Guide – Three Ways to Savor a Slow Life in Cat’s Back” tourism guide by the end of September. It can be downloaded from the Taipei City Department of Commerce website at www.tcooc.taipei.gov.tw or picked up from information desks at the Cat’s Back Cable Car Zoo Station, Zoo Inner Station, Zhinan Temple Station, and Cat’s Back Station from September 27. With a Cat’s Back handbook coupon or a Taipei Shopping Card, you can enjoy discounts of up to 30% on selected items at participating shops until the end of October.
