Located in Nantou, the Taiwan University Experimental Forest is a popular flower-viewing destination, especially in spring when the vibrant blossoms attract many visitors. Every March, over 300 pink Kawazu-zakura trees in the Phoenix Nature Education Area begin to bloom. Strolling along the beautiful cherry blossom tunnel feels like visiting a romantic overseas attraction.

The Phoenix Nature Education Area spans nearly 20 hectares and is planted with hundreds of tea plants and Kawazu-zakura trees. When cherry blossom season arrives, the pink floral sea complements the camellias, creating a stunning view. The area’s 333-step Hero’s Slope is lined with cherry blossom trees on both sides, forming a romantic tunnel that draws many visitors for sightseeing and photography.

Tea plantation cherry blossom varieties include mountain cherry, double-flowered cherry, and the currently blooming Kawazu-zakura, totaling around 400–500 trees. The blossoms are now in full bloom, so visitors eager to see them should plan their trip soon. Additionally, firefly-watching events are held on March 28 and April 11.
