To coincide with the "Crazy Dali – Master of Surrealism" special exhibition, the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts will host its first-ever special exhibition starlight session on the evening of December 29. In addition to providing more viewing options, from 19:30 to 21:00 that evening in the first-floor Sculpture Hall, the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra will perform a series of exclusive starlight concert pieces specially curated for "Crazy Dali," including the "Carmen Suite" and "Farruca Dance" from the opera Carmen. Attendees simply need to present an exhibition ticket or stub stamped with the designated "Crazy Dali" seal to participate. On the day of the concert, all attendees will receive a Dali mustache sticker upon entry, and after the event, they can exchange their entry ticket for an exclusive KMFA Dali exhibition gift at the information desk.

This starlight concert will feature dance music as its main theme. Under the baton of Yang Zhiqin, conductor of the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, the ensemble will transform Dali’s 2D artworks into a vibrant 3D surround-sound experience through musical magic. The melodies echoing through the KMFA Sculpture Hall will make the space feel like a lively ballroom filled with dancing figures and laughter. Guests can also enjoy the classic "Carmen Suite" from the opera, igniting dormant passions; the enchanting "Farruca Dance" and "Jota Dance," with their flamenco-inspired allure, invite everyone to dance the night away. In addition to pieces named after Dali’s works, there will be several classic tunes embodying passion, adventure, and melancholy, as well as a solo performance by Xue Zhizhang, principal musician of the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, whose emotionally charged and technically dazzling playing will be dedicated to fans of the mad genius, Dali.

From now until December 29, visitors who present their "Crazy Dali" exhibition ticket or stub at the KMFA ticket window and indicate their intention to attend the starlight concert will have a designated stamp affixed to their ticket. With this stamp, they may enter starting at 18:30 on the evening of December 29. For more details, please visit the KMFA website: www.kmfa.gov.tw.
