Want to take part in a sky lantern blessing event without the crowds of the Lantern Festival? From March to December, New Taipei City’s Tourism Bureau will launch the “Shifen Happiness — Monthly Sky Lantern Release” event, featuring a total of 10 sessions. Each month at the Shifen Visitor Center, 50 four-foot sky lanterns will be provided free of charge, allowing the public to experience the warmth of dozens of lanterns soaring into the sky outside the Lantern Festival period.
