Last updated 2026-11-08 — In this season of blooming flowers and rejuvenating nature, flower appreciation events across Taiwan are competing in splendor. At the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village, renowned for its cherry blossoms, the star of February — the Formosan Hundredfold Cherry Blossoms — is gradually coming to an end, with petals scattering across the ground. The spring melancholy amid fallen blossoms and fresh greenery offers a unique kind of beauty. Following the cherry blossoms, the “Purple Love Lavender” series of events at the Shuisilian European Garden will kick off from now until April 7. Visitors can admire hundreds of thousands of Spanish lavender, featherleaf lavender, sawtooth lavender, and sage around the central Roman fountain in the garden. Starting March 2, live band performances will also be held every weekend, offering a musical feast surrounded by lavender.
