Over the years, Taipei has gradually incorporated design thinking, not only facilitating the gradual transformation of the urban landscape but also making citizens’ lives more progressive and convenient. For example, the Red House in Ximending, as a historical landmark, has transformed into a creative hub with unique cultural and design characteristics after the influx of diverse designers and cultural and creative brands. It has successfully revitalized an old building, giving it new life, and providing a new platform for nurturing and showcasing Taipei’s emerging design brands and professionals. Meanwhile, the service design of YouBike bicycles allows citizens to explore Taipei in a more leisurely and comfortable way, while also achieving environmental goals such as energy conservation and carbon reduction.
