The “Thai New Year Songkran Staycation Package” starts at 18,000 Thai baht (approximately NT$19,110) for two nights, with a minimum consecutive stay of two nights. The rate includes two nights in a deluxe riverside room and daily American-style buffet breakfast for two. Additionally, during the Songkran festival from April 10 to 17 this year, apart from splashing water, Thais also apply scented powder on each other’s faces as a form of blessing. The Peninsula Hotel will prepare a Songkran kit for each guest, including two water guns, traditional Songkran attire, and scented powder, allowing guests to fully enjoy the festive atmosphere.

The Songkran period is a great opportunity to understand Bangkok’s social traditions and authentic local customs. The Thai New Year Songkran Staycation Package includes a complimentary two-hour boat tour along Bangkok’s canals, offering a glimpse of the Chao Phraya River community and the generations-old relaxed way of life. Guests can also visit Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) with a guide to offer prayers and learn about Thai religious culture.
