Opened on April 15, 1983, Tokyo Disney Resort is set to celebrate its 30th anniversary this year. The grand festivities will run from April 15 of this year through March 20 of next year — over these 340 days, Tokyo Disney Resort will present unique and lively celebration events, and a variety of commemorative merchandise is sure to capture fans’ hearts.

Tokyo Disneyland has long been one of the key destinations for Taiwanese tourists visiting Japan. For this occasion, Tokyo Disneyland has introduced a Taiwan Special Passport, allowing Taiwanese visitors to purchase tickets in advance and skip the ticket lines. Holders of the Taiwan Special Passport can also enjoy shopping discounts at Ikspiari. The passport is valid from April 1, 2013, to March 1, 2014. With the passport, guests may enter the park any time during operating hours and choose to visit either Disneyland Park or DisneySea.
To mark the 30th anniversary, Disney characters will also make goodwill visits to 30 cities across Japan. The celebratory events within the parks, along with the special 30th-anniversary decorations, are sure to immerse visitors in a festive atmosphere.

New Parade Show “Happiness Is Here”
One of the most popular parade shows at Tokyo Disneyland, guests begin gathering around the parade route an hour before showtime, eagerly awaiting the arrival of Disney characters and the dedicated performers. The joyful music and lively dances will once again bring the feelings of music, friendship, and dreams to audiences. Through this exuberant parade, every visitor is expected to showcase their happiest smiles, radiating the warm and touching feeling of “Happiness is Here.”

Parade duration: 45 minutes
Nighttime Fireworks Show “Happiness On High”
Beautiful fireworks are launched to the tune of the 30th-anniversary theme song. Under the night sky and dazzling fireworks, relive the memories of your day at the park. Tokyo Disneyland’s Cinderella Castle looks infinitely romantic, and whether you’re enjoying the show with family, friends, or a loved one, the special warm and delightful atmosphere is sure to be felt.

Sea Show “Happiness Greeting On The Sea”
Opened 12 years ago, DisneySea also unveils a brand-new show exclusive to the park for this 30th-anniversary celebration: “Happiness Greeting On The Sea.” Watch Disney characters sail the seas, greeting and saying hello to every visitor around the waterfront. Everyone joins in waving to the Disney characters, and the uplifting atmosphere is truly electrifying.
The grand 30th-anniversary celebration also includes commemorative merchandise that Disney fans will want to treasure. Among them are Mickey and Minnie doll keychains, headbands with adorable oversized ears, candies and cookies, stationery items, mugs, and more. In addition, there are both “collectible” and “personalized” merchandise options for fans to choose from and cherish.

Duffy the Bear, one of DisneySea’s most popular characters in recent years, has also launched a limited-edition 30th-anniversary series available only at DisneySea. Sales start on April 12—fans and visitors who love Duffy shouldn’t miss out.
