New Taipei City’s Gold Ecological Park “2013 Summer Search for Lohas Creative Workers” is now accepting applications until April 30. The program welcomes all types of creative workers this summer, with priority given to those capable of engaging with the public. Lohas creative workers involved in creative DIY, blogging, painting, design, lifestyle aesthetics, and more are all welcome to apply and join the park’s creative seed group. However, any creative work involving fire is strictly prohibited. Applicants may apply as individuals or in groups of up to two people. Selected creative workers will be stationed at the park’s two connected Japanese-style dormitories from May 22, 2013, to August 30, 2013.

According to New Taipei City’s Gold Ecological Park, since August last year, the park has opened its newly renovated two connected Japanese-style dormitories for the first time. Under the concept of a “worker exchange experience,” distinctive Lohas creative workers were invited to stay. During the three sessions last year, a total of 20 individuals/groups of creative workers were stationed. Through arrangements by the park, they engaged in dialogues with local artists, participated in local festivals, and took part in various museum events. These experiences allowed the creative workers to truly connect with Jiufenkeng and further transform their inspiration into creative works. This spring, two groups totaling 10 Lohas creative workers were stationed. In mid-March, they held activities including public dancing, static exhibitions, and sharing sessions. Their entertaining performances and unique exhibition formats attracted nearly 4,000 visitors.

The “2013 Summer Search for Lohas Creative Workers” residency program is now accepting applications until 17:00 on April 30, 2013 (Year 102 in Taiwan calendar). The selection results will be announced on the Gold Ecological Park website on May 15. Application details can be found at: www.gep.ntpc.gov.tw.
