Hawaiian Airlines activity endorsers, Hawaiian-heritage entertainers Ya-Hsuan Lee and her husband Alex, also shared with MOOK readers their favorite Hawaiian spots for couples to enjoy quality time together after their recent second honeymoon in Hawaii, taking readers through the area’s stunning scenery and romantic atmosphere.

First up is Waikiki on Oahu’s south shore, once a leisure spot for Hawaiian royalty, located near Honolulu—and the highlight is the nearly 2-kilometer-long Waikiki Beach. The beach is lined with high-end hotels, making it perfect for couples who love soaking up the sun, sand, and surf, as they can step out of their hotel and enjoy rare private beach time. With calm waters and a wealth of water activities, Waikiki is also an ideal spot for couples to kayak or learn to surf together.

Next, Oahu’s North Shore is an absolute must for surf enthusiasts! The North Shore is famed for its massive waves, hosting world-class surfing competitions like the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing every year. Winter brings towering waves of nearly 10 meters, thrilling surfers and spectators alike. In summer, while the waves are gentler, it becomes a perfect place for beach fun and sunbathing with your partner.

Hanauma Bay, a nature reserve, is the perfect spot for couples to enjoy Hawaii’s underwater wonders in privacy. Located on the southeast side of Oahu, Hanauma Bay’s calm waters make it easy to experience the joy of snorkeling. The bay features spectacular coral reefs and colorful fish swimming among them, making the underwater adventure even more magical.
