As nature ushers in the golden hues of autumn, a season beloved by farmers for its bountiful harvest, The Grand Park Laiyi is introducing the “Autumn Love · Discovering Farm Life” program from August 25 to October 31. The hotel will invite renowned local organic farming expert Chung Mao-shu to serve as the instructor for the Land Class, guiding guests through the “Farmers’ Training Camp.” Here, they can step into the shoes of hardworking farmers—dubbed “Heaven’s Little Helpers”—and experience five key steps: “Respect Heaven and Thank Earth,” “Enjoy Clay Pot Cooking,” “Layer the Hay Properly,” “Savor Farm-Fresh Flavors,” and “Praise the Farmers.” This offers an authentic celebration of the age-old traditions of autumn harvest. The hotel will also host an exhibition by the traditional arts brand “Taiwan Cloth,” showcasing high-end garments starting from tens of thousands of dollars, made from beautiful Taiwanese floral fabrics that transcend time.

The Yun Tian Buffet Restaurant at The Grand Park Laiyi, which recently reclaimed the title of “Champion at the Tian Xia Golden Service Awards,” and the Yanbo Ting Yilan Kitchen, home to one of Taiwan’s top 100 chefs, will both launch a “Farm Flavor Food Festival,” inviting travelers to savor the freshest seasonal local specialties. The three-day “Autumn Love · Discovering Farm Life” tour will include, based on occupancy limits, complimentary round-trip shuttle services between Taipei and the hotel, as well as admission tickets to the Lanyang Museum (shuttle service available every Tuesday and Thursday morning). Guests can leisurely explore the autumn-themed exhibition “Whales of the Sea – The Journey of Cetacean Conservation.” Each room reservation also comes with a complimentary copy of Lin Zongping’s book “Here’s What People in Yilan Eat!” (priced at NT$250), which reveals a collection of must-try local street foods highly recommended even by locals. Even Grand Park Hotels & Resorts CEO and General Manager of The Grand Park Laiyi, Shen Fangzheng, specially wrote the preface and gave his recommendation: “By following the guide in the book, travelers can not only taste delicious food but also gain insight into the cultural and historical background, making their trip to Yilan even more enjoyable!” Many extremely popular local snacks are revealed here—all must-tries.
