New Taipei Hot Spring Festival Kicks Off – Limited-Edition Y-TWD Small Hot Spring Packs Go on Sale

As the weather turns cooler, hot spring events across Taiwan are being held one after another during the refreshing autumn season. This year, New Taipei City has specially collaborated with its various hot spring districts to jointly organize the “2013 New Taipei City Hot Spring Food Festival” from November 4 to December 15. During the event period, a variety of great-value package deals will be offered, featuring hot springs and food information from areas including Jinshan, Wanli, Wulai, Xindian, Tamsui, Bali, and Sanxia. With the theme of “Urban Slow Living,” the festival has united 66 local businesses to launch special offers on “hot spring soaking, gourmet food, accommodation, tour packages, creative handicrafts, and sightseeing workshops,” all inspired by a new lifestyle attitude of “slow travel, slow food, slow living, and slow appreciation.” Together, they aim to create the warmest winter experience.

In addition, this year also sees the launch of the “New Taipei Hot Spring Small Pack,” conceptualized around the image of wearing a yukata and carrying a cute little tote bag while soaking in the hot spring. It includes an essential small towel, the “Good Times Notebook” hot spring guidebook, and discount vouchers worth a total of 588 TWD — all available at the promotional price of just 128 TWD. The “New Taipei Hot Spring Small Pack” will officially go on sale at 11:00 AM on November 4. Members of the public can purchase it through the official event website or on-site at New Taipei City’s Civic Plaza. Each person is limited to buying one pack upon presenting valid ID, with only 1,500 packs available and sales ending once they’re gone. Meanwhile, those who participate in the “New Taipei Hot Spring Dance Creative Video Grand Collection” campaign now also have a chance to win accommodation vouchers worth over ten thousand TWD or luxury hot spring room vouchers worth over three thousand TWD.
