The Department of Information and Tourism stated that as the Xinyi District is home to Taiwan’s largest concentration of international luxury department stores and is close to internationally renowned attractions such as the Taipei World Trade Center, Taipei 101, the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, and the Sishisanan Village, it has become one of the top destinations for travelers visiting Taiwan. To serve both domestic and international visitors eager to learn about Taipei’s cultural and creative industries, architectural aesthetics, and local life, the Department has set up a tourist service center at Exit 5 of the Taipei 101/World Trade MRT Station on the Xinyi Line to assist the many travelers and businesspeople visiting the Xinyi District. Additionally, from November 30 to December 29, “Roam Xinyi” guided tour experiences will be held at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM every Saturday and Sunday. Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes and will be conducted by professional guides proficient in both Chinese and English, who will lead participants on-site visits to key attractions in the area.
The guided tour experience begins at the Taipei 101/World Trade Tourist Service Center. The morning session is themed “A Journey Through Taipei’s Cultural and Architectural Aesthetics,” showcasing design, architecture, and public art along the route. The itinerary includes visiting public artworks along Xinyi Road, Taipei 101, the Taipei Explorer Dome, and then proceeding to the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall and on to Songshan Cultural and Creative Park to experience Taipei’s creative design energy.

The afternoon session is themed “An Exploration of Taipei’s Lifestyle and Culture.” This route focuses on experiencing local life in Taipei. Starting from the Taipei 101/World Trade Tourist Service Center, participants will visit Sishisanan Village to experience Taipei’s military dependents’ village culture. On double Saturdays and every Sunday, they can also explore the Sishisanan Village Simple Market, where small-scale farmers promote their produce and various handmade creators display their works—it’s very lively. Next, the tour continues to the surrounding Xinyi District to explore local Taipei life, including introducing Taipei’s popular YouBike shared bikes and other aspects of daily life. The final stop is the Taipei Explorer Dome to uncover the history and development of Taipei City.

Those interested in the “Roam Xinyi – Holiday Scheduled Guided Tours” can sign up on-site at the Taipei 101/World Trade Tourist Service Center. Each session has 30 spots available and is filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants will receive small design items provided by Songshan Cultural and Creative Park or Sishisanan Village, and those who complete a survey can exchange them for small gifts prepared by the Department of Information and Tourism.
