Ci'en Pagoda at Sun Moon Lake
Ci'en Pagoda is one of the famous landmarks at Sun Moon Lake. Its entrance is about 300 meters from Xuanzang Temple, and you can reach it by walking a short distance along the Ci'en Pagoda Trail. The stone-paved path is ergonomically designed, making the gradual ascent effortless. At the top of the pagoda, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view, taking in the beautiful lake and mountain scenery of Sun Moon Lake.

By car: Take National Freeway 1 – exit at Nantun Interchange – County Highway 136 – Provincial Highway 74 – exit at Kuokuang Interchange – National Freeway 3 – Wufeng System Interchange – National Freeway 6 – exit at Ailan Interchange – Provincial Highway 14 – Provincial Highway 21.
Public transport:
1. Take the high-speed rail to Taichung Station – transfer to Nantou Bus (bound for Sun Moon Lake) and get off at Sun Moon Lake Station.
2. Take the train to Taipei Station – transfer to Kuo-Kuang Bus (bound for Sun Moon Lake) and get off at Sun Moon Lake Station.
3. Take the train to Taichung Station – transfer to Renyou Bus (bound for Sun Moon Lake) and get off at Sun Moon Lake Station.
