2014 was the first five years of the Kaohsiung Spring Arts Festival (KSAF), a world-class performing arts event created, produced, organized, and promoted under the city’s name. With the support of nearly 300,000 audience members, it gradually became Taiwan’s uniquely international arts festival. Among its highlights, the musical “Thinking of You Every Day,” a tribute to the late singer Zhang Yusheng, will be staged at Kaohsiung’s Zhidexuan Hall on June 28–29. Tickets go on sale today, with an early bird discount of 30% available from now until April 13.

This performance is produced by Zhang Yusheng’s music partner Koji Sakurai and features singer-songwriter Hsiao Hung-jen and Chinese vocalist Pan Xiaofen. Titled “Thinking of You Every Day,” the world’s first musical built around Zhang Yusheng’s songs pays tribute to the artist. Though he has passed away, the energy of his music continues to resonate through the ages, offering endless positive inspiration in today’s chaotic world.

In addition, the 2014 KSAF Eslite Lecture Series will host a pre-show talk titled “In Love with ‘Zhang Yusheng’ – Pre-Talk for the Musical ‘Thinking of You Every Day’” on April 26 from 15:00–16:00 in the atrium of the Eslite Big City store on the 17th floor. Conducted by Koji Sakurai, the lecture invites fans to revisit the classic hits from the 1950s to 1970s that once ignited passion.
