Shoushan Zoo Celebrates Mother's Day with "Mommy Bear & Crane" & SWEET Mom

For a heartwarming Mother’s Day, Shoushan Zoo launched the free admission event "Bear Loves Mommy, Give Her a Kiss" on May 10th. On the event day, as long as a little one gives Mom a kiss on the cheek and says “I love you,” they can immediately enjoy free admission. Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureau Director Xu Chuan-sheng will lead as the “King of Kids,” guiding 50 parent-child groups to make honey toast "Bear So Sweet" snacks to treat Mom, as well as a "Mommy Bear Relax" foot-washing activity for 100 people to honor mothers. In addition, a mother-and-cub pair of Formosan black bears will also make an appearance, enjoying the large ZOO "Bear So Sweet" snack.

Tourism Bureau Director Xu Chuan-sheng stated that to thank moms for their hard work, a "Mommy Bear & Crane, Shou SWEET" filial piety event was specially held over the Mother’s Day weekend. Special thanks go to Jingyuan Farm for gifting Chilean flamingos, adding new animal friends to Shoushan Zoo. The event invited a total of 50 parent-child groups to make "Bear So Sweet," created using ingredients such as toast strips, fruit, and custard sauce. Additionally, a giant 110 cm by 40 cm ZOO "Bear So Sweet" specially made for Formosan black bears will be presented at the event, allowing mother bear and cub Bobby to enjoy Mother’s Day together while promoting wildlife conservation knowledge about Formosan black bears to the public.

This Saturday’s Mother’s Day event also incorporates family education and fun, with nearly 100 people joining the "Mommy Bear Relax" foot-washing filial activity. A professional health spa master has been specially invited to guide children on how to give Mom a medicinal foot bath in "Mommy Bear Relax." Thirty spots are available for online registration, 20 for on-site registration, and Shoushan Zoo’s Facebook fan page is also hosting a warm Mother’s Day event. Just upload a photo of your child giving Mom a kiss on the zoo’s Facebook fan page to join the "Kiss Mommy, Win a Prize" activity.
