Recently, an IG-famous cascading terrace attraction has gone viral – layered rock waterfalls that are both refreshing like tofu rock formations and reminiscent of Turkey’s iconic natural wonder, “Pamukkale,” romantic and full of fairy-tale charm. This highly sought-after hidden gem is located at the border between Miaoli and Taichung.

Situated in Taichung’s Heping District near Miaoli’s Zhuolan, this Taiwan version of Mini Pamukkale is an unofficial check-in spot. Though not as grand or swimmable as Turkey’s Pamukkale, it’s tucked away in the mountains. Watching the rushing water cascade down tier by tier, and stepping barefoot into the cool flow is incredibly soothing.

Step barefoot into the cool stream, but stay safe.

To capture the vibe of Turkey’s Pamukkale, just find the right angle and use flowing water photography techniques. No flight or overseas trip needed for these ultra-attractive, fairy-tale-worthy photos. But while snapping pictures, always prioritize safety, avoid horseplay, and watch your step to prevent slips and injuries.

Different angles and techniques highlight various styles of beauty at Mini Pamukkale. (Photo / ping55666, same below)
