On the morning of October 2, Magistrate Tsao Chi-hung, Deputy Director of the Education Department Hsu Pei-hsiang, and 30 elementary school students from Seeshih Elementary School took a train from Seeshih Railway Station to escort 30 paper pandas to Linbian Railway Station. Upon disembarking, the paper pandas were warmly welcomed by Linbian Township Mayor Cheng Hsin-cheng and over 100 kindergarten children. The kids, with cute panda makeup on their faces or dressed up as little pandas, were absolutely adorable—matching the charm of the paper pandas and capturing everyone’s attention.

Led by the children, the group marched in a lively procession to the nearby Ku?liao Park. The Linbian Natural History and Cultural Conservation Association and local residents prepared bamboo-flavored dishes and panda-themed Q meals made with local ingredients, including bamboo leaf rice balls, panda sushi, and bamboo shoot soup, to treat the paper panda guests and the children. The event created a festive atmosphere in preparation for the October 4 activities.

Last week, the paper pandas drew huge crowds at the Stadium Park. This weekend they’re heading to Linbian Township, hoping to attract more visitors to learn about the area. Everyone is also encouraged to take the train to see the pandas, becauseGuangcai Wetland is located right behind Linbian Railway Station, just a 10-minute walk from the exhibition area, supporting low-carbon tourism. Plus, taking the train lets you experience the newly elevated railway and the rebuilt Linbian Railway Station, getting a glimpse of the transforming town.
