November 11th has in recent years become a day representing singles, but in Japan, the most well-known event on this day is the Pocky Day of Ezaki Glico’s popular snack, Pocky sticks. To promote Pocky Day, Ezaki Glico, which originates from the Kansai region, has deep ties with famous attractions in Osaka. At Osaka Tsutenkaku, a large number of limited-edition commemorative goods are sold, and even before 11.11 Pocky Day, an event to break the Guinness World Record for the most people taking photos with Pocky sticks was held. In addition, various related activities are organized on this day, and fans of the snack celebrate their loyalty by enjoying plenty of Pocky sticks.
