With the crisp autumn breeze and chrysanthemums blooming on the branches, the long-awaited "2014 Shilin Official Residence Chrysanthemum Exhibition" has opened vibrantly at Shilin Official Residence Park. This year, in sync with the "Love You Forever" 2014 craze, the theme "Love Shines in the Season of Chrysanthemums" is specially expressed through various chrysanthemum arrangements—including large upright chrysanthemums, cascade chrysanthemums, grafted chrysanthemums, large and small chrysanthemums, chrysanthemum-family flowering plants, and a rich variety of materials. The event features six outdoor exhibition areas and three indoor pavilions at Shilin Official Residence, interpreting different stages and layers of love. For those of us who are usually shy about expressing love, this "season of chrysanthemums" provides a chance to convey our heartfelt emotions or respect through the beauty of chrysanthemums.

● Love Confession—Be Brave Enough to Say “I Love You”

● It Turns Out to Be “Love”
Using elements such as “destiny,” “the lamb,” “blindness,” and “tears,” this display interprets scenarios of “love” through teardrop-shaped large upright chrysanthemums, large chrysanthemums, and chrysanthemum-family flowering plants. After going through sorrowful tears and joyful moments, one suddenly realizes—ah, so this is what “love” is!

●Yes, I do
The geometrically symmetrical floral carpet garden in the Western-style courtyard welcomes happy couples about to step into the next stage of life. Hand in hand, they walk through the chrysanthemum archway toward the “Yes, I do!” platform at the end, decorated with dusty miller and trailing vinca—a romantic moment that goes off the charts.

● Love Birds
A team of four international floral art champions uses elements such as plum blossom, orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum to create three love birds weaving through the classical Chinese architecture of the New Orchid Pavilion. These symbolize love, familial affection, and friendship—always surrounding us. As long as we observe carefully, love is always close by.
