On November 21, AirAsia held a lively press conference where it unveiled an aircraft painted in LINE colors and featuring cartoon characters such as Brown, James, Cony, Leonard, Sally, Boss, Jessica, and Edward. Unlike other planes, this one also integrates LINE cartoon characters into its interior design. The Airbus A320 will operate on AirAsia’s routes across 22 countries.

AirAsia joined LINE in August this year and has since gained 13.4 million fans. Now taking the partnership further, it brings Line Friends cartoon characters to the skies, flying to major Asian destinations served by AirAsia. The airline aims to project a more innovative and youthful image.

LINE Plus Corporation stated: “Communication is LINE’s core feature. Now, we can not only connect with LINE users but also reach all AirAsia passengers through our first LINE-branded aircraft. Our LINE cartoon characters are very popular in Southeast Asia, especially Brown and Cony. Boarding a plane filled with LINE elements will make the journey even more fun.”
