Taiwan’s popular online illustrators Malayan Tapir, ByeByeChuchu, and Shuangshuang Cat are collaborating for the first time to launch the “ShuangChuTapir Unorthodox Academy: New Forces in Illustration Special Exhibition,” which opened on June 19 at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. Recently, the first batch of 500 presale tickets sold out within one minute, and the second batch of presale tickets is now available for purchase from today until June 18 at 7-Eleven and FamilyMart, offering a special discounted price of NT$160 (original price NT$250).

The “ShuangChuTapir Unorthodox Academy: New Forces in Illustration Special Exhibition” is a collaboration among the three online illustrators Shuangshuang Cat by SECOND, ByeByeChuchu BYEBYECHUCHU, and Malayan Tapir Cherng. Through humorous strokes and creative ideas, they have built a lighthearted, joyful, and heartwarming campus world. The exhibition features six themed zones: “Corridor · Freshman log in,” “Classroom · Cultivate the Unorthodox,” “Playground · I’m Very Soft Q,” “Dormitory · Two Otakus and One Shuang,” “Auditorium · Goodbye, No Logout,” and “Convenience Store · Shuangshuang Shopping,” inviting fans to explore the unorthodox spirit of ShuangChuTapir illustrations and experience a campus full of humor—whether on the playground, in the classroom, outside the corridor, or inside the dormitory, everyone can happily attend “Unorthodox Academy” and leave with a smile.
 
● Corridor · Freshman log in

As you step into the corridor, the first thing you see are the three bronze statues of ShuangChuTapir. The school motto on the wall conveys the core philosophy of the academy, where “unorthodoxy” is the only rule to follow. ShuangChuTapir has specially produced a freshman orientation video for new students—be sure to watch it. There are also numerous crooked competition award certificates on display, plus an Awesome Awards podium, waiting for everyone to step up and feel the unorthodox charm of the seniors.

● Classroom · Cultivate the Unorthodox – Music Room+Art Room

In the Unorthodox Academy, only the music room and art room exist, teaching everyone how to appreciate the unorthodox. In the music room, ShuangChuTapir’s music band makes an appearance—super cool but missing their lead singer, and they invite everyone to join in and help hold the stage. In the art room, there are self-portraits of the ShuangChuTapir illustrators drawn in ByeByeChuchu’s style with a Picasso twist, as well as Shuangshuang Cat and Malayan Tapir cosplaying famous world paintings—fun and adorable.

● Classroom · Cultivate the Unorthodox – Infirmary

No matter what kind of injury you’ve suffered outside, come to the infirmary where ShuangChuTapir will give you a comforting hug. Inside the infirmary, not only does Malayan Tapir the nurse help with injections, but there’s also ByeByeChuchu’s pointy-headed Eighteen Bronze Men—completely naked except for a red cloth—who welcome students to lift the cloth and learn about the “mysteries” of the human body. In the corner of the sickbed, the ill Shuangshuang Cat lies around, looking listless and in need of some care from fellow students.
 
● Playground · I’m Very Soft Q
Arriving at the unorthodox playground, it’s a wonderland of play equipment. Whether on the podium or the monkey bars, students can let their bodies run wild here. The first-ever ByeChu Gymnastics interactive game is also unveiled. Invite students to wiggle along with ShuangChuTapir, strike the softest Q pose, and challenge the limits of human contortion—with unlimited laughs. There’s also a subtle corner by the playground where a heart-racing vibe lingers quietly. You’ll understand the best romantic dynamic in school is when no explanation is needed, just like being wall-bumped by ShuangChuTapir. At the costume party in front of the dormitory, ShuangChuTapir’s outfits, expressions, and hairstyles are all rule-free—go wild with your creativity and craft your very own personalized ShuangChuTapir.
