One of Japan’s most important summer festivals, “Qixi,” also known as the Summer Valentine’s Day, sees various celebrations held at major attractions across the country. The Tokyo Skytree, which celebrated its third anniversary in 2015, launched a special Qixi event starting from June 12. Teaming up with the Skytree mascot, Skytree Sister, and KIKILALA, the event features limited-time installations, themed meals, and merchandise in the Skytree Observatory’s Tembo Galleria to celebrate a romantic Qixi with visitors.

To welcome the romantic Qixi Festival, Skytree Sister and KIKILALA have collaborated on a special project. Drawing inspiration from the starry imagery of KIKILALA and Skytree Sister, they’ve created a Starry Sky Galaxy in the Skytree Observatory’s Tembo Galleria, allowing visitors to enjoy a romantic stroll under the stars. There’s even a chance to spot a shooting star passing by, adding to the surprise. Additionally, Skytree Café has introduced the coolest Skytree Sister x KIKILALA ice cream, along with several adorable limited-time goods, all ready to celebrate Qixi with visitors.
