A thousand-square-meter golden yellow rapeseed sea blooms in full glory — a dreamy, picturesque field that’s almost too beautiful to be real

No need to take a train all the way to the Huatung Valley. Under the Wanshou Bridge in Wenshan District, Taipei City, you can also enjoy a stunning rapeseed flower sea. Over a thousand square meters of golden yellow blooms stretch out beautifully against the blue sky.

The flower sea is located at the Daonan Right Bank Riverside Park. Along the Wanshou Bridge, vast stretches of rapeseed flowers are in full bloom. The swaying golden-yellow blossoms cover an area of 1,339 pyeong. Since the blooming period of rapeseed flowers is relatively short, this wave of blooms will continue until mid-March. Take advantage of the good weather to go outdoors and enjoy the flowers on a spring outing.

The color of the rapeseed flowers is as elegant and bright as moonlight. This year, inspired by the theme of the Moon Palace Jade Rabbit, three jade rabbit messengers and one “Moonbathing” bench have been set up amid the expansive rapeseed fields for visitors to rest and take photos. This year's rapeseed sea began to bloom gradually in early February, making it a rare sight of rapeseed flowers in the northern urban area.
