Kenting National Park has always been a favorite among domestic and international tourists, and is a must-visit destination for many mainland Chinese travelers. Some free attractions have drawn huge crowds, affecting the local ecological environment. In response, the Kenting National Park Administration decided to adjust the admission fees of some attractions “to manage visitor volume through pricing.” Starting from 2016, six previously free attractions including Longpan and Guanshan will begin charging fees, while the fares for already paid attractions will also be raised. The goal is to implement the “user pays” principle and provide visitors with a better travel experience.

● Eluanbi Park
The original ticket price was NT$40; starting January 2016, it will be adjusted to NT$60.
● Jialeshuei Scenic Area
The original ticket price was NT$70; starting early 2016, it will be adjusted to NT$80.
● Cat’s Head Islet Park
Originally free to enter, starting May 2016, an admission fee of NT$30 will be charged. Seniors aged 65 and above can enjoy a 50% discount on weekends and holidays by presenting valid ID, and children under 12 years old are admitted free of charge.
● Longkeng and Nanshan Ecological Reserves
Starting March 2016, a new fee system will be implemented, along with daily visitor caps. Longkeng Ecological Reserve will limit entry to 150 people per half-day (morning and afternoon), with an interpretation fee of NT$1,500 (approximately 2–3 hours per tour); Nanshan Ecological Reserve will limit entry to 400 people per day, with a fee of NT$2,000 (approximately 4–5 hours per tour). Advance reservations are required for both.
● Hengchun Guanshan
Admission fees will be introduced in 2016, with Hengchun Township Government planning to charge a cleaning fee of NT$60 per person.
