At the end of 2019, the South Gate Park was completed in December, and the underground parking lot was officially opened to facilitate leisure activities for nearby residents. The staircase leading to the underground parking lot is designed like a slightly hipster-style museum exterior, featuring a unique picture angle that has attracted many netizens to take aesthetic photos here, making it a popular IG spot for high-quality check-ins.

Each angle offers a different vibe.

The South Gate Park parking lot adopts a sunken plaza and atrium design, bringing the park’s greenery and sunlight inside to enhance ventilation and lighting. It also features rows of red and green checkerboard shrubbery, creating a layered descent and offering a distinct atmosphere in different sections of the parking area. The project also won the “2017 National Excellence in Construction Awards—Gold Award for Best Planning and Design” in its first phase.

South Gate Park (Public Park No. 24) underground parking lot is located in the city center. The site of Public Park No. 24 was originally Taoyuan Girls' High School, which had been idle for a long time. After being cleared and redeveloped, a simple parking lot was built, followed by the development of the park, parking facilities, and a joint citizens’ assembly hall for four nearby districts. The park was officially named South Gate Park.
