Trial run participants included Minister of Transportation Hochen Tan, Taoyuan Mayor Cheng Wen-tsan, along with a proposal and consensus of "launch first, improve later." After two months of intensive testing, the Taoyuan Airport MRT review team has examined over 4,000 improvement points previously submitted by the Taoyuan MRT Corporation. Evaluations are also ongoing regarding whether the launch speed and service intervals meet standards, as well as train stability.
The trial run route includes Taipei Main Station (A1) to Taoyuan Airport Terminal 2 (A13), with direct trains taking just 37 minutes. However, this is slightly off the construction contract requirement of 35 minutes (later adjusted to 36.5 minutes). Given that the trial route extended to A13, some margin of error is understandable.
