As the countdown to the New Year’s Eve party begins, the areas around Taipei City Hall and the Xinyi Shopping District have been beautifully decorated with various installations, Christmas trees, lights, and a series of events. On the night itself, the Taipei 101 fireworks and light show will create a unique festive atmosphere and warmth that is distinctly Taipei, attracting numerous domestic and international tourists every year.

In terms of the lineup, “Born to Sing” diva A-Lin will deliver concert-level performances, rock king Wu Bai will premiere new songs from his upcoming album, and the people’s band 911 will present newly created content and song arrangements to get everyone dancing and celebrating the end-of-year joy together with the crowd. Other must-see super idols include SpeXial, 831, JPM’s Show Lo, Wu Sih-hsien, Amber An, Kitty Yeh, and GTM, all set to bring the unique warmth and passion of Taipei to the audience.

This year’s hosts are the “ultimate national treasure” duo, Steven Tseng and Barbie Hsu, who are co-hosting the Taipei New Year’s Eve party for the first time. The event will also feature a mysterious guest using the latest MR (Mixed Reality) technology to let everyone enjoy the Taipei 101 fireworks in a whole new way, making the 2017 countdown party truly innovative. Attendees are reminded to use public transportation when heading to the event and to pay attention to traffic control measures during the evening.
