The ever-talked-about Japan Post has launched a new series of gachapon toys. This time, they’ve created mini versions of actual Japanese mailboxes or postmen’s helmets, and they’re so cute that everyone’s saying they have to be collected.

Japan Post has crafted 1/18 or 1/12 scale miniatures of local iconic mailboxes, including the famous panda mailbox at Ueno Zoo — one of Japan’s well-known landmarks. The replica faithfully recreates the real mailbox’s appearance, and the exquisite craftsmanship is truly admirable.

This series of gachapon can be purchased at the counters of post offices across Japan, priced at 300 yen each. The supply is limited and will be sold out once stock runs out. Smaller post offices may have fewer in stock, so fans are advised to visit larger branches if they want one.
