South Korea has listed China’s Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, and Taiwan as inadvisable travel destinations, and has also tightened entry quarantine controls for travelers from these countries. Violators may face fines of up to NT$150,000.
Travelers must also truthfully indicate whether they have traveled to or had contact with epidemic areas such as China, Hong Kong, and Macau within the 14 days prior to entry.
Those who provide false information or engage in refusal, evasion, or obstruction of the process may be subject to fines of up to NT$150,000 in accordance with the law.
Passengers on flights from China, Hong Kong, and Macau will continue to fill out the “Entry Health Declaration and Home Quarantine Notification Form” and must comply with home quarantine measures for 14 days upon entry.
