Passengers and crew on the Diamond Princess continue to be quarantined onboard, with the total number of new confirmed cases reaching 135; as the number of confirmed cases in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Thailand continues to rise, the command center has raised the alert level for travel-related epidemic risks to these destinations.

In Taiwan, as of February 10, 95 new cases of severe pneumonia with novel pathogens were reported, bringing the total number of reported cases to 1,617. This includes 18 confirmed cases, 1,445 ruled out, and the remainder under quarantine and testing (76 initially tested negative, others pending). Apart from the first confirmed case which has been released from quarantine, the other 17 cases are stable and remain hospitalized in isolation. Currently, 383 close contacts of the 10 confirmed cases are under home quarantine, including 13 who have shown symptoms and been reported (11 tested negative and ruled out, 2 still under testing).
According to data released by China's CDC and health commissions across provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, a total of 42,638 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection have been reported in all 31 mainland provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions (excluding the Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions), an increase of 2,478 from the previous day. Among them, 7,333 are in critical condition, 1,016 have died, and 21,675 are suspected cases.
Excluding Taiwan, there are 439 confirmed cases internationally, distributed across 26 countries/regions. The highest numbers are on international transport vessels (135 cases on Diamond Princess in Japan), Singapore (45), Hong Kong (42), Thailand (32) and South Korea (27). There have been 2 deaths, one each in Hong Kong and the Philippines.A total of 72 countries have now implemented travel restrictions on China.
Additionally, among the Taiwanese business group that returned from Wuhan on the evening of February 3, apart from the confirmed case on February 4, 4 people remain hospitalized in isolation, while the other 242 are under close health monitoring at centralized quarantine facilities.
