As soon as you exit from Exit 5 of the Weiwuying MRT Station, you’ll see a huge colorful mural right in front of you. The vibrantly painted wall attracts many passersby to stop and take photos, making it a super popular IG photo spot.

The Lingya International Street Art Festival has been held since 2016, inviting artists from Taiwan and around the world. In addition to collaboratively creating over a hundred large-scale murals, there’s also a hundred-meter-long painted avenue in the streets.

Moreover, if you take a closer look around the neighborhood, you’ll find murals everywhere—from utility poles, electrical boxes, building pillars, walls, to underpass surfaces. Designs featuring cats, fish, sheep, and more pop up in every corner. Once you step inside, it’s like entering an animated world—dreamlike and truly unique.

Most of these areas consist of early community-style apartment buildings. Occasionally, you’ll see some greenery, sun-dried quilts and clothes at the entrances, with neighbors chatting or playing chess by the door—scenes of everyday life.
