Dubrovnik is a port city located in the southern part of Croatia on the Balkan Peninsula and is a highly popular holiday destination, renowned for its beautiful scenery and hailed as the Pearl of the Adriatic.

Dubrovnik is the setting for King’s Landing, the capital of Westeros in the Game of Thrones series. Its ancient city, built between the coast and mountains, forms a dreamlike landscape with the blue shores of the Adriatic Sea.

In the Middle Ages, Dubrovnik was the seat of the Republic of Ragusa. It prospered through maritime trade and was the only city-state in the Adriatic capable of rivaling Venice at the time.
