K-pop star X and NANTA to perform in Taiwan at 2018 Korea Travel Expo in Kaohsiung

To promote Korean culture and tourism across Taiwan, the Korea Tourism Organization is hosting the Korea Culture & Tourism Expo in Kaohsiung for the first time, inviting friends from southern Taiwan to explore Korean travel. The event also features popular Korean singer Gary, who will be performing live and guiding attendees through Korean culture and travel experiences. In addition, there will be many gifts and lucky draw opportunities available at the expo.

The Korea Tourism Organization specially held a pre-event press conference to promote the expo and kick off the 2018 Korea Culture & Tourism Expo. During the press conference, popular Korean singer Gary, a special guest of the expo, recorded a video message for Taiwan — stay tuned for this exciting Korea Culture & Tourism Expo.

The 2016 Korea Culture & Tourism Expo was held in Taipei, but this year’s 2018 edition has been specially hosted in Kaohsiung to deeply promote Korean culture and travel among friends from southern Taiwan.

This year’s expo features 12 major Korean-themed pavilions, including the “Korean Food Pavilion” where visitors can sample authentic Korean cuisine, the “Travel Map Pavilion” offering the latest Korea travel information, the “Travel Products Pavilion” with a wide range of Korea tour packages, and the specially created “SPORT Changwon Pavilion” for male travelers, featuring VR tech interactive experiences — you can even enjoy the thrill of playing baseball at the Changwon Baseball Stadium with Korean baseball star Wei-Zhong.

Additionally, there’s the “Jeolla-do Pavilion” themed around this year’s Korean tourism focus — the “Visit Jeolla-do Year,” the “Medical Beauty Experience Pavilion” where visitors can try scalp analysis and more, and the “Traditional Market Pavilion” showcasing the characteristics of 20 local traditional markets in Korea. Meanwhile, the “Hands-on Experience Pavilion” and “Traditional Games Pavilion” offer a variety of Korean traditional crafts and folk experience games that you can sign up for — allowing everyone to gain deeper insight into Korea’s cultural richness through this expo.
