Taobao now has physical stores too！ The first Taobao x Hoi concept store opens in Xinyi District

In recent years, changes in shopping behavior have led to a collaboration between Taobao—popular both in mainland China and Taiwan—and HomeWay, resulting in the launch of Taiwan’s first “Taobao x hoi concept store,” located on the second floor of Breeze Songgao as the brand’s very first physical retail space.

This Taobao concept store emphasizes “great design, great value, and great service.” By integrating online and offline experiences, it offers high cost-performance ratio products—such as multifunctional, space-saving design items tailored for young renters—that help customers make the most of every corner of their homes.

The store incorporates new retail digital shopping technologies. Not only can customers see and touch the products in person, but they can also place orders online simultaneously. This solves issues such as overseas shipping costs and the worry that items may not meet expectations. It allows this digital generation to shop with ease and create their ideal lifestyle.

A highlight of the “Taobao x hoi Concept Store” is its digital shelves, which feature 3D digital models of all products. Through the digital shelf terminals, shoppers can view different styles, specifications, colors, and prices of items. They can also use the digital shelves to place products into a virtual home setting to select the most suitable ones.

Due to the low efficiency and limited information of traditional paper price tags, all physical shelves in the store use electronic price tags. These are connected to a system that updates product prices and names in real time. Each price tag also features a unique QR code for the product, allowing customers to scan it with their phones and link directly to the exclusive online store for purchases.
