Giant Moon Rabbit Welcomes Mid-Autumn Festival; Mesmerizing Fire Dragon Dance Draws Attention

In collaboration with internationally renowned Australian artist Amanda Parer, from September 19 to October 17, ten giant moon rabbit art installations — which have toured over 80 cities and 40 international art festivals — will be displayed, presenting dazzling white rabbits that appear dreamlike before your eyes.

Internationally acclaimed Australian artist Amanda Parer has exhibited her giant white rabbit installations in over 80 cities including France, the UK, Finland, Germany, the US, Canada, Portugal, Turkey, and South Korea, as well as at more than 40 international art festivals such as the National Gallery Singapore, London Winter Lights Festival, and San Francisco Art Commission Gallery. With up to 6 million global viewers, it is truly a world-class art exhibition.

For the first time in Hong Kong, ten uniquely designed and illuminated giant moon rabbits (five large and five small), the tallest reaching up to seven meters, will be displayed. The reason for selecting two iconic locations in Hong Kong Island and Kowloon is that China Hong Kong City boasts expansive views of Victoria Harbour and is close to the upcoming West Kowloon Cultural District, while Lee Tung Avenue has, in recent years, blended modern art with traditional Chinese cultural installations, making it an ideal spot for festive celebrations.

Traditional festive celebrations wouldn’t be complete without Lee Tung Avenue’s signature lantern art decorations. This year, for the first time, cutting-edge remote lighting technology equipped with iBeacon push notifications will be introduced, alongside over 800 colorful lanterns, creating a unique “Light & Shadow · Lee Tung.” Visitors can also use the Lee Tung Avenue mobile app to control the lanterns and immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere in 360 degrees. Additionally, participants can join the app’s “Lantern Hunt · Lantern Riddle Guessing” to win prizes.
