Taiwan is a highly competitive battleground for dessert shops. Cream&Custard are dessert stores from Singapore that specialize in creative, design-forward sweets, introducing the lightly sweetened and refreshing flavors preferred by Singaporeans, creating their own unique style.

Cream&Custard is a brand from Singapore. The dessert shop started online and, after two years of operation, opened its first physical store in Singapore. Now in its third year, it was once recognized by American media as one of Singapore’s top 100 restaurants in 2018. Its location at MRT City Hall Station marks its first overseas branch, situated in a quiet and discreet alleyway, keeping a very low profile.

The interior of Cream&Custard is predominantly white, elegant and stylish.

The environment of Cream&Custard is dominated by an elegant white palette. Upon entering the store, you’ll find around 10 dessert items displayed in the case daily. The kitchen where the desserts are made is separated from the dining area by a transparent glass wall, allowing customers to watch the dessert-making process.

The beautifully mirrored Xingcai (Starlight) features Valrhona chocolate paired with cake and wine-soaked cherries, making it a sophisticated adult-oriented dessert.

Cream&Custard’s desserts are “Singapore-style French pastries.” The young Singaporean owner prides himself on using carefully selected Valrhona chocolate from France and fresh fruit purées. In addition to the high-quality ingredients, since Singaporeans don’t have a strong preference for sweetness, Cream&Custard’s desserts are much lighter and less sweet than those typically found in Taiwanese dessert shops.

Dreamy Girl’s Heart is one of the shop’s most popular desserts.

All of Cream&Custard’s desserts are made fresh. The most classic is the award-winning “Signature Feast,” which features freshly sliced watermelon of the day, paired with rose-scented cream, almond dacquoise, and fruits. It has a juicy, refreshing texture and the distinctive aroma of watermelon.

The plating in the store is also very refined.
