Experience a cherry blossom picnic – Y Years, Hsinchu Park’s hundreds of blossoms in full bloom

Hsinchu City’s flower season is here！ Hsinchu Park, with its century-old history, currently has about 70–80% of its cherry blossoms in bloom, making it the perfect time to go cherry blossom viewing?! Meanwhile, Hsinchu City also held its Flower Season event on February 24th, giving everyone the chance to come to Hsinchu Park for a Japanese-style cherry blossom picnic！

Built in 1926, Hsinchu Park is the oldest and largest park in Hsinchu City. In recent years, Hsinchu City- has included Hsinchu Park in the “Cross-Domain Highlight Regeneration Project.” The park’s Li Pond Garden was completed in 2018, restoring the water’s edge landscape while preserving the park’s historic sites, century-old trees, and Japanese-style garden architecture—offering a truly distinctive experience！

Currently, there are around 850 cherry blossom trees in Hsinchu Park, and their light pink blooms create an elegant and enchanting sea of flowers. As a result, the city government has specially planned a one-day picnic music event, inviting everyone to gather under the century-old park’s cherry blossom trees with family and friends for a cherry blossom picnic.

On “Picnic Day,” remember to bring your own picnic mat and delicious food to enjoy a meal on the grassy area of the circular stage zone in the park. The live stage area will also feature musical performances by bands, as well as exciting street acrobatics. You can enjoy the cherry blossoms, savor tasty food, and appreciate wonderful performances all at once, immersing yourself in a relaxing and leisurely picnic experience.
